Biography

     Tre Houston (Rowland W. Folensbee III) is an award-winning hip hop artist and producer originally hailing from Houston, Texas. Tre has been writing and producing music for well over a decade, performing in venues across the country and having songs featured in numerous television shows and films.  

     In 2008, Tre Houston won the Muse's Muse Magazine Club Song of the Year award for his song "What Happened? (Movin')" and in 2013 his song "Tell Ya That I Love Ya" was a semi finalist in the International Songwriting Competition. Additionally, Tre was Endee Magazine's Artist of the Week in April of 2013. 

     Tre's film and television credits include songs in "Empire", "Glee", "House of Lies", "Hemlock Grove", "Remodeled", "Plain Jane", "Stalker", "Rush", ABC Family's movie "Christmas Bounty", NBC and CBS sports programming, numerous commercials, and live performances in both seasons of Joseph Gordon-Levitt's "HitRECord on TV". He recently performed in Los Angeles, California at the Fonda Theater for the premiere of "HitRECord on TV"s second season. Tre has recently expanded his songwriting and production to other genres, co-wroting country artist Jeff Dane's lead single "Apple Pie Moonshine" which was featured on WGN's "Outlaw Country". 

     Tre currently resides in Austin, Texas where he performs regularly and is working on numerous musical projects, including EPs with renown producers Dave Tough and Tommy Smith. He is also the Associate Director of Licensing for Tough Man Publishing and graduated from Belmont University in 2011 with a degree in Music Business.
